I had never seen a pelican formation<\/p>\n

I thought them solitary, each to each<\/p>\n

but there they were – eleven birds<\/p>\n

slowly wafting down the beach<\/p>\n

A leisurely diagonal which angled back<\/p>\n

against the shoreline, biding time<\/p>\n

one would flap a single stroke<\/p>\n

then each one, too, in successive line<\/p>\n

and drift along to be wherever<\/p>\n

they were going, gently flowing<\/p>\n

seemingly so unaware of seashell seekers<\/p>\n

splashing swimmers or what was going on below<\/p>\n

A team of sorts with no concern<\/p>\n

of all the goings on and such<\/p>\n

attentive toward their own accord<\/p>\n
