as i roll around to meet
\nit with my head beneath my pillow
\ni am trying to forget it
\nalways comes around again
\nstumbling through the clothes and blankets
\nscattered on the floor
\ni reach the kitchen
\ni look into the outside through the window
\nsee the blanket that has
\nturned into a mountain on my lawn
\ni put the kettle on the stove
\ntake out a cigarette but everybody\u2019s gone<\/p>\n
saturday in a.m. time
\nsoon turns to afternoon
\nand i\u2019m not ready for another
\nrun through brew ha ha and everything
\nthat makes the day so great
\ni will just relax today is what
\ni always say
\ni never do
\nand it\u2019s that second cup of coffee
\nthat puts me on my feet to start anew<\/p>\n
and i am fascinated by the way
\nthe dishes pile up
\nso fast i don\u2019t remember eating
\nthat much food
\nit was only yesterday i finally got my clothes
\nback to the washer for a brand new
\nlease on them and now the dishes need it too
\nand the mirror is no fantasy on saturday
\nreality is what is there
\nit looks me in the eye i am in shock
\nand all i do is stand and stare<\/p>\n
if it wasn\u2019t for the night
\nbefore the morning
\nwouldn\u2019t be so bad and i
\ncould simply rise and shine as if
\nit was the middle of the week
\nno i never learn a lesson if
\ni get knocked down
\non a friday i\u2019ll be back
