\nYet once dispatched
\nto Love\u2019s Prison
\nredemption is elusive<\/p>\n
Some will stay
\nforever
\nlocked inside
\nthis fervid jail
\nnever knowing what
\nor why it hurts
\nto live in such a place<\/p>\n
Some are granted
\nbrief reprieve
\nrepeat offenders mostly
\nfor a moment granted
\namnesty but soon
\nare back to
\nLove\u2019s Prison<\/p>\n
Some are rehabilitated
\ncareful with their
\nardor
\ncareful then
\nto not repeat
\nthe anguish
\ngone before<\/p>\n
And yes, of course,
\nthose fortunate few
\nhave never dared
\nto step inside
\nfearful of the misery
\nafraid that they
\nmight break the rules
\nand find themselves
\ninside Love\u2019s Prison<\/p>\n
The latter is the
\nwoeful group
\nhowever
\nnever having loved
\nanother
\nnever knowing joy
\nfor fear of
\nlove\u2019s dark side<\/p>\n
And so be mindful
\nfill your days
\nand weeks and years
