\nWhen do my thoughts take a trip on their own?
\nAll that I\u2019ve wondered, the thoughts that I\u2019ve pondered
\nAll that I\u2019ve seen, heard or touched all alone<\/p>\n
My eyes see a stranger, my nose senses danger
\nBut somehow I\u2019m hearing the words of a friend
\nThe air becomes cool as I sit on my bar stool
\nPlaying another sad game of pretend<\/p>\n
Sometimes we smell victory, sometimes a trick
\nOr follow your nose, move from where you are at
\nSee all that is blue or look into the future
\nHear what they\u2019re saying up under their hat<\/p>\n
What things seem to be, I often don\u2019t see
\nLike feeling the fool when I\u2019m winning respect
\nOr I thought I heard praise as their glasses were raised
\nBut I\u2019m not sure what next to expect
